The
mission of the Information Technology Department
is to develop and maintain an information
technology strategy based on the goals and operating
strategy of Escambia County to improve the operational
effectiveness and efficiency of County bureaus, divisions, sections and employees.
In
addition, the Information Technology Department is
to provide an efficient and well coordinated computing
environment through integrated system, local area
network and personal computer systems; cost effective
software licensing; and the use of shared peripheral
devices on the local area network. The department
is responsible for providing analytical project support
for departments, and research, management audits,
and reports to the Bureau Chief, Management and Budget Services Bureau.
