The Facilities
Management Administrative Division is staffed by the
Deputy Bureau Chief, a Director's Aide and a Accounting Technician.
Administrative
responsibilities include:
- Monitoring
Expenditures and Contract Negotiations
for Services, including Security, Pest Control,
Refuge Container service, Fire Protection and Elevator
services.
- Coordination
of DCAT, Division Managers, Program Managers, Maintenance Shop Supervisors
and technicians review and input on Capital Projects
through plans review and meetings with contractors.
- Providing
assistance in Project Scope development, Space-needs
planning, Bids, Budgeting, Architect and Engineering
selection/ negotiations and Construction Manager
selection/negotiations within budget and at a guaranteed
maximum price.
- Coordination
of Site Inspections, Hazardous Materials investigations
and Indoor Air Quality studies.
- Preparation
of Annual Personnel, Operations and Capital budget
requests for five divisions, as well as county-wide
water, power and gas utilities.
- Strategic
planning, cost accounting and performance measures
for the division as a whole.
- Department
Personnel administrative issues, including employee
evaluations, merit increases and payroll.
