Tire Recycling

 

"Waste tire" means a tire that has been removed from a motor vehicle and has not been retreaded or regrooved. "Waste tire" includes used tires and processed tires.

At the Perdido Landfill we accept waste tires, see fees page for current prices.

We have most of the tires recycled and some are ground into small pieces and used in county projects.

 

Florida Statutes have rules for disposal of waste tires. 62-711.400 Waste Tire Prohibitions, says whole waste tires may not be disposed of in a landfill.
